Joe has over 20 years of multi sector experience in property management and construction. Having a passion for architecture and the built environment, his career started as an architectural assistant providing plans and details on various construction projects.
​
Joe undertook building works on his own properties and ventured into property development.
He worked in property management with responsibilities for both identifying and commissioning repair and maintenance works and managing the associated with landlord and tenant legislation.
​
He became the operations manager of repair, maintenance and legislative compliance to a diverse property portfolio and managing further construction work.
​
Joe has a wealth of practical experience including executing building surveys, defect analysis, project management and contract administration for both local authority and healthcare environments.
Dan Salmon BSc(Hons) MRICS

Designer, Project Manager​
Dan has been a building surveyor for 30 years and has been fortunate to gain wide ranging experience on all types of projects within housing, industrial, commercial, educational and healthcare settings. His early career had a focus on Architectural technology which he credits for a depth of understanding in building design, skills he still uses to this day.
​
He has managed both small and large scale new build housing developments, converted properties to provide residential dwellings, designed office and warehouse spaces, refurbished healthcare wards and delivered extensions, alterations and improvements to educational facilities.
Dan equally enjoys working on smaller scale projects such as obtaining planning and building regulations consents for domestic alterations or the provision of estate buildings, whilst undertaking professional duties preparing defects surveys and compliance and expert reports.

Dan is a qualified RICS APC Assessor and a certified Fire Door Inspector. He regularly acts in the role of Principal Designer under both the Construction Design and Management Regulation and the Building Regulations.

We worked together at a previous employer and found a distinct synergy in both our approach to surveying commissions and our working practices. Our differing skill sets both complement and underpin this approach. We both have a keen technical eye and an energetic drive to ensure all aspects of our projects are delivered to the highest quality. Forming Broom Fendley Salmon was a logical step to continue the quality services we provide to clients and allow us to evolve our working processes and service delivery to benefit our clients. Working out of both Brighton and the Ashdown Forest, we can cover commissions in Sussex, Surrey, London, Kent and East Hampshire.
